Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid # 6) by Richelle Mead
In Georgina Kincaid, succubus and she-demon, #1 New York Times bestselling author Richelle Mead has created one of her most enticing characters. But with a shot at love, and maybe even redemption, is the ultimate seductress finally going soft? Like hell she is. . .
Georgina Kincaid has had an eternity to figure out the opposite sex, but sometimes they still surprise her. Take Seth Mortensen. The man has risked his soul to become Georgina's boyfriend. Still, with Lucifer for a boss, Georgina can't just hang up her killer heels and settle down to domestic bliss. In fact, she's being forced to transfer operations. . .to Las Vegas.
The City of Sin is a dream gig for a succubus, but Georgina's allies are suspicious. Why are the powers-that-be so eager to get her away from Seattle—and from Seth? Georgina is one of Hell's most valuable assets, but if there's any way out of the succubus business she plans to take it—no matter how much roadkill she leaves behind. She just hopes the casualties won't include the one man she's risking everything for. . .
What an awesome end to an awesome series. When I first started Succubus, all I saw was sweet sensitive Seth. Then once Roman entered the picture all I got was a Barrons wannabe. He was too everything: too suave, too cultured, too perfect to be true. As it turned out, he was too perfect to be true... just look at how the book he was in ended! The first books also had me recalling my crush on Cusack given Jerome's chosen appearance. And it was also Jerome's pairing with Carter that had me thinking 'odd couple.' Mostly though it's how different Georgina is that's sticking. She's 'the Daughter of Lilith,' hell worker, and yet, she's good. So what if she's a succubus who steals men's souls? She could be good too...
Now throw in the fact that while she did screw up, time and again, well, she wasn't alone in that regard. And it's one big screw up that bring thing to a head in this one. And boy did I love seeing it revealed. The biggest surprises came in the changes said screw up brought out . Here Georgina's not the same bright confident funny girl she was in previous. Here she's contrite and almost ashamed. I didn't like reading her that way but it made sense given past events. And the other's too got from me some strong feelings: Seth. While I loved the change from his being shy to being take charge and up front... a moment or two in this one had me tut-tutting his choice of words and behavior. I should be understanding given all his gone thorugh (but hadn't she gone thorugh just as much?) But the biggest and best surprise of all? ROMAN!
If you haven't read this one yet.. Well, get to it!
