Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Pure (Covenant, #2)
Good Reads Summary
Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

There is need. And then there is Fate
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

My Thoughts
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

No matter how entertaining PURE got, I cannot in all honesty rate it any higher than a two. I'm almost a hundred percent sure that others have gone over the similarities  between this and VA, so I won't even attempt a comparison of my own.

But I imagine that were one to have read COVENANT prior to VA , I really do believe that from that reading experience one would take away a highly entertaining action packed read. It'd have been likely a mind blowing one, with how kick ass the heroine was, how hot the chemistry could get, and how interesting that push-pull between girl and boy, then same girl and other boy... except were not in la la land, and VA did in fact come first...so I' left with that nagging need to point out that credit must be given where it's due.

If it were all about fun, easy 4 of 5...
but then again there really isn't anything new here, so I settle for 2 of 5.
